My name is Manon. (pronounced Man + O) Yes….my mom cursed me with my name. In her defense I guess she never though I’d leave Quebec. I’m a jewelry artist and painter. I’ve been creative as long as I can remember and things haven’t changed. I now live in Scottsdale, AZ. I spend most days in my studio making pieces that speak to my heart. Thanks for stopping by!!
I work with lots of genuine turquoise and I love each one of them. They’re all beautiful with their own unique characteristics. There are those stones that come around, however, that take your breathe away. This beauty is one of the stones. It’s a Royston turquoise from Nevada. This turquoise is 59 carats. When I decided to work with it I took it and kept in my eyesight for two weeks until I knew what I wanted to do. No fluff needed around this one. It stands alone and speaks for itself. It found a home quickly and I’m thrilled it will be going to someone who appreciates these stones as much as I do. 🙂
When I find genuine turquoise from any mine that has some orange in the matrix I usually nab it. I just adore the orange against the blue/green of the stone. It’s a perfect compliment.
Oooh….. a little Damele custom order for a client. It’s so pretty. I just bought of huge amount of Damele in raw form. It will be cut and polished soon by a lapidary artist. The mine has been closed so we wanted some of it before it gets really hard to find.
If your looking for turquoise go for genuine turquoise. Ask lots of questions. There’s no comparison to the real deal.

I recently lucked into some cool hearts to make some personalized heart jewelry. It’s no secret that I’m a lover of hearts so I was pretty darn excited to find some of these heart treasures.
The above photo is of a Mexican Fire Opal. It went quickly to a new home and I’ve been asked often about getting another stone like it. Grrrrr………it’s hard to find. I’m heading to Tucson for the gem show on Saturday so maybe I can score there.
These stones are a easier to locate but equally as beautiful. This rhodochrosite has sold but feel free to contact me if interested in a similar stone as I have a few more.
Awe….the Spiny Oyster heart necklace. I finished this piece on Monday and just adore it. The following pic has the back view. I added a handmade sterling feather with a Sleeping Beauty turquoise. I think the color in the Spiny Oyster is stunning.
Making this personalized heart jewelry is a joy for me. I love adding the personal touches that make each piece extra special.
They all warm my heart.

Pink druzy *badass* necklace
©manon
*be Strong when you are weak. be BRAVE when you are scared. be HUMBLE when you are victorious. be BADASS everyday.* ~Pink
In honor of breast cancer awareness month I made a pink druzy necklace. This necklace has the word *badass* on the back. This is for all the badass people who have fought cancer and won and those who continue to fight. The quote above seems like the appropriate quote for this month.
You can find this piece here
Graceful – African green opal necklace

Speaking about *badass*…lol. I used this Graceful – African green opal for this setting. It is a badass stone. So pretty. It’s happily gone to a new home. Sad to see it gone.
Boulder and Pilot mountain turquoise necklace.
©manon
It has been a week of necklaces. I used a large Boulder turquoise and a small Pilot mountain for this piece. I really love the way it looks on. The stones seem to compliment each other nicely. It feels feminine even though it has some size to it.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to be BADASS everyday!!!

I am a gemstone cabochon addict….lol. Lately, I find myself delving deep into the land of gemstones. I’m so amazed at these beautiful stones that have been forged by the earth and polished by man. I get so excited to use each one in a new piece of jewelry.
The pieces above are rutilated quartz cabochons….ooh la la!!!
The ring above is also rutilated quartz. It is the most incredible stone. Take a good look at the thin shots of gold color…..swoon!!!
This is an Australian Chrysoprase. I’m not really attracted to the perfect stone. I love the imperfect with a lot of variation. This stone fits that bill.
These are my prehnite cabs. I have so many cabochons that are the bluish color so it’s nice to mix it up a bit.
This sterling silver ring houses a large golden prehnite. It’s already gone to a new home but I wanted to show how pretty that stone was.
My man, Rob, is such a doll. He often gifts me with gemstone cabochons that he finds. He also came with me to the Gem and Mineral show in Tucson and another show yesterday. He found these stones for me. They are *Good Day* chrysocolla. Love them!!! My pic does not do them justice!!
Finally…… I found that I also have a love of fossils!!! 🙂 Omg…how cute are these sand dollars??? Got to run and get going with all this fun!!
